What guests say
We had our wedding reception here on 2nd August 2025 and have just returned for our first anniversary stay. Once again, the Beaumont exceeded all our expectations. The Beaumont is such a beautiful, elegant venue. The rooms are immaculate, the food is absolutely outstanding, and every member of staff is so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy. It creates such a wonderful atmosphere and makes every visit a pleasure. A huge thank you to Florin, who looked after us on both our wedding day and our anniversary. He is an absolute credit to the Beaumont. His hospitality is second to none, and nothing is ever too much trouble. He truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel special. Thank you also to Roger and everyone at the Beaumont for making both our wedding day and our first anniversary so memorable. We will always have such wonderful memories here, and we can’t wait to return again. Mr & Mrs McCluskey

Went on a Saturday evening with visiting families at around 6pm. Had been excited to take them as we had told them how lovely a place it was. Walked in and went to the bar as there were people standing at the bar and it was not clear that there was another way to order, I.e an obvious sign telling you to take a seat or someone standing to direct at the entrance. A young waitress approached us at the bar and said to take a seat and she would come to take our order ‘seeing as its table service’ in a very curt manner. We were not given menus yet she came over 30 seconds later to take our order, with no please/ thank you etc. We were never given a drink menu yet alone a food menu and we were never informed that we could not enjoy a drink without food. When we left after what could only have been 30 minutes the middle aged waiter (with shaved/ bald head) basically berated us, in a very rude manner, for not having any food and said that the establishment is based on food & drinks and they need that to survive. I would like to point out that in our section of the floor there was only one other couple dining, most were just having what should have been a quiet and civilised drink. There was a 10% service charge on that we should have taken off and I can only assume the insistence on giving tables to diners derives from a larger service charge. Such a shame as I often come here mid-week when it is quiet with my parents for lunch and a drink and now I will never return. They have lost a customer who did support the venue in their quieter hours and not just a Saturday early evening. Put a dampener on a long awaited evening with family we are not lucky enough to see very often.

Great location, close to the Abbey and across from the park. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Hotel was nicely updated with comfortable seating in restaurant and bar area. Spacious, clean and well-appointed rooms. Nice breakfast buffet with menu options for cooked breakfast. Dinner was well-presented and quite delicious.

Popped in for a bite to eat and a coffee. Can’t comment on residential aspects. The welcome was happy and smiley, the service was quick, and the atmosphere very pleasant and a little ‘refined’. The food wasn’t cheap (but not overpriced) but was very tasty and well presented when it arrived. ♿️ Access is up two steps but there is a portable ramp available on request. The door is wide, tables well spaced and a readily available accessible toilet.
