For the 2nd time this year we have stayed at The Station Hotel. Situated very handy for Hexham town centre and close to the Racecourse. Me and my brother Colin has stayed here several times in the past several years. Staff are superb. Great bar. Rooms very clean and comfortable Breakfast excellent,plenty on offer. Lovely to see Catherine again. Cooks a wonderful Breakfast. Got served by Clare today. Great service with speed. Very reasonably priced for your stay

Me and my twin brother celebrated a momentis milestone on our 70th birthday. We were in room 6, what a sweet little room it's twin room and the beds were very comfortable We have been numerous times here but didn't realise they serve evening meals, I asked Evette if we could have it at 8.30 pm as they finish meals at 8pm and she was happy to oblige. Bro had Gammon Steak, Chips and Peas, I had Fish and chips with Peas and Tartar Sauce, both meals were absolutely delicious and tasty thanks to Amy. We were thrilled to see the lovely Katherine who served and cooked our breakfast, it was delicious also had plenty of cereal, bread, jam and butter and juice, it was a feast you couldn't go home hungry and it was fantastic to see her as well as we missed out on seeing her in April as she was away to Turkey. It was a fantastic stay once again we thoroughly enjoyed. We are coming back in June. Many thanks to all staff.

Good things: - breakfast is nice (also free) - beds are cozy - staff are friendly (when available) - parking free for 24hrs (4 minute walk from hotel). Also right next to station -TV, kettle and hairdryer in rooms Not so good things - decor of building (wallpaper peeling off, giant hole in the ceiling outside room, windows need force to shut, cracks in the walls) -noise (thin walls mean traffic and guest noise travels. Also water runs from toilet and radiators for a while and this can be heard from other rooms) -locks on the doors (key to open and lock door was frustratingly difficult to master)

Great welcome by the lively people at The Station Inn. They made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. There were 8 guys for a weekend away. Rooms were great for our purpose, clean and tidy and very comfortable beds. Good service at breakfast and plenty of choice. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
