Forest View is a ground-floor cottage in Peak Forest, converted from a Victorian schoolhouse. You arrive into a single open space that works as both living area and kitchen—freeview television, DVD player and Amazon Firestick are there if you want them, while the kitchen has a full electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bedroom holds a double bed (4ft 6in); the bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Everything you need for a short break is supplied, including bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating.
The cottage sits at the village edge overlooking open countryside, with walking routes to Castleton and Mam Tor starting from the door. Within a few miles are Eldon Hole (one of the Peak's deepest potholes), Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath. Horse riding and golf are available within five miles; a pub is roughly a mile away, and shops and restaurants are four miles off. You have a small enclosed garden with seating and furniture, parking for two cars on site, and space to store bikes. The property is non-smoking.
