What visitors say
This was our first ever camping trip with my boyfriend and our dog, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The campsite was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views that made our stay even more special. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless and very well maintained, which made a huge difference. The customer service was exceptional too. I can’t remember the lady’s name, but she was the one who always answered the phone, and she was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. We had such a lovely time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, scenic, and welcoming campsite!

Great space for camping. Gorgeous views and clean facilities considering the amount of people staying over bank holiday. There was a bit of a wait for toilets/showers but it didn’t detract from the stay. Facilities were clean and topped up regularly. Lots of space between pitches. Only negative I would say is mould in the showers, just need more ventilation. Would definitely stay again.

The campsite itself seemed lovely, and we were looking forward to our stay. After a long drive, we arrived at around 10pm. We had emailed several weeks in advance to confirm that a late arrival would be acceptable, and were assured that it would be. As we got close to the site, we tried calling multiple times to let someone know we were arriving, but unfortunately no one answered. Thankfully, a helpful camper kindly assisted us in accessing the campsite. Unfortunately, the weather was extremely poor, with strong wind and heavy rain making it very difficult to put up our tent. The conditions ended up damaging the tent, and after struggling for some time, we decided to pack up and leave. While we were doing this, the campsite manager approached us and told us that there had been complaints about noise. We explained the situation with our tent and the weather, but rather than showing any understanding or empathy, she simply asked for the booking name, repeated that we needed to be quiet, and left. Her parting comment was, “I want to go to bed,” accompanied by an eye roll. We completely understand the need to respect other campers and keep noise to a minimum, particularly late at night. However, we were disappointed by the lack of compassion shown towards four young people who were clearly struggling in difficult weather conditions and trying to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. The campsite itself may be lovely, but based on this experience and the way we were treated, I would not choose to stay here again.

We stayed at Sweet Knoll Farm for our first TentBox trip of the year and couldn’t have picked a better spot. It’s a real hidden gem in the Peak District. The location is absolutely spot on, with incredible walks right on your doorstep. We covered around 60km over a few days and loved every minute of it. The views are stunning and it’s the perfect base if you’re there for hiking and getting outdoors. The campsite itself is simple, peaceful and really well set up. There are two clean showers, four toilets, and access to an outdoor cleaning area, which makes a big difference after a long day out. The farm has three or four fields, so there’s plenty of space and it never feels overcrowded. The owners genuinely couldn’t do enough to help, which really adds to the whole experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, well-located campsite in the Peaks. We’ll definitely be back 👍
