Oxlow End Cottage

The converted 18th-century farmhouse has two bedrooms—one double, one with twin singles—and sleeps four. A single bathroom serves the property, which you have entirely to yourself. One well-behaved pet can stay free.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds a living room with TV and a wood-burning stove (initial logs provided), plus a kitchen/dining room with electric cooking facilities and microwave. There's a utility room with washer and tumble dryer, and a separate toilet. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and bathroom with bath and shower. Oil central heating keeps things warm; electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. The enclosed garden has a patio with furniture and access to the owner's landscaped grounds, which also has a barbecue. Two cars can park in the carport.

The cottage sits near Peak Forest, surrounded by limestone hills and woodland. A dog-friendly pub is three-quarters of a mile away. The shop is four miles distant. The owner's garden has an unfenced pond and unfenced terrace; the property does not suit children under 11. Golf and horse riding are available nearby.
