Mushroom Cottage is a small detached barn conversion on the edge of Castleton, a walking hub in the High Peak. The single bedroom has a double bed, and there's a wet room with shower and toilet. Upstairs, an open-plan living space combines a sitting area with an electric woodburner, a dining area, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer all included. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided.

The enclosed patio has garden furniture and a barbecue. A five-minute walk takes you into the village itself, where five pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops cluster around Peveril Castle and the Peak Cavern. The High Peak's limestone dales and moorland are on your doorstep; Chatsworth, Lyme Park and Matlock Bath are all within half an hour's drive. The property does not permit smoking.
