Allt Beag (Little Streams)

The Highlands around Achintraid attract walkers, cyclists and those seeking remote coastal scenery. Allt Beag sits on its own grounds overlooking Loch Kishorn, a detached house built to take advantage of the landscape. High vaulted ceilings and large windows frame the views; a wood burner anchors the open-plan living space, and sliding doors lead onto a decked patio where you can sit outside. A quieter sitting room downstairs has a piano if you want to unwind between exploring days.

Four bedrooms sleep seven: two doubles on the ground floor (one with its own shower room), two more upstairs with single or twin beds. Two bathrooms between them. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a utility room with washing and drying facilities. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; logs for the wood burner are provided to start with. You have private parking for three cars and an enclosed garden that slopes gently down with wildflowers and trees. The property does not permit smoking, and one well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost.
