Rosslyn Cottage

A sandy bay lies just across the road from Rosslyn Cottage, with views toward the Sutherland mountains beyond. The fishing village has a working harbour, seafood restaurant, pub, café and a links golf course open to visitors. The Tarbat Discovery Centre displays Pictish, Norse and Medieval finds from local archaeological sites. One dog can stay free of charge.

This detached stone cottage was originally built as a fisherman's home and has been renovated throughout. Downstairs, the living room centres on a woodburner and opens into a fully fitted kitchen/dining room with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate toilet. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower; the second bedroom has two single beds, also with ensuite shower. A small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture looks toward the beach. Parking for one car is provided on site, with additional spaces available on the road. There is a bike store, though access involves steps from the courtyard.

The cottage includes heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi. Initial logs for the wood burner are provided, as is a welcome pack. No smoking throughout. Guests arrive after 15:00 and depart before 10:00.
