Well Cottage

Well Cottage is a ground-floor property in Portmahomack, a village on the Highland coast. The two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—each have their own ensuite shower room. A separate toilet is also provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Outdoors, an enclosed garden with decking on two levels and garden furniture faces across the village rooftops towards the coast. There is private parking for two small cars or one large car on site. The cottage does not permit smoking.

Portmahomack village sits within walking distance of a pub, shop and beach. The property itself has roots as a 19th-century bakery; a well that once supplied water for baking still stands beside it. The village is known for sunsets; it faces due west, unusual for an eastern Scottish settlement. The nearest landmark is Portmahomack Post Office & Stores. Note that the garden has 10 steps.
