Sandy’s Hoose
Highland
Families and groups of six will find Sandy's Hoose works well as a self-contained base near Portmahomack's sandy beach. The cottage has three bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, a kingsize on the first floor, and two singles—plus two bathrooms. A wood burner warms the living room, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and wifi keeps you connected. Bed linen, towels and initial fuel are included; heating and electricity are covered too. One dog stays free if you're bringing a pet.
The rear garden has a patio and seating, there's private parking for two cars and a bike store, so you can explore on foot or wheel. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available for younger children. Portmahomack itself is small and working—a post office, convenience store, restaurant and bistro are all within reach on foot. The Tarbat Discovery Centre explores local Pictish history, and Tarbat Ness lighthouse stands nearby. From here, you're positioned to reach Dornoch, Dunrobin Castle, Inverness and the Sutherland coastline, or take a longer trip to Orkney. Walkers, golfers, mountain bikers and anyone wanting sea trips or watersports will find options; the beach itself is a short walk away. No smoking in the property.
