Carinish Beag
Highland
The west Highland coast around Loch Linhe draws people for its combination of stillness and access to serious landscapes. Carinish Beag sits on the water's edge at Achaphubuil, a semi-detached property where you can watch the loch from your own space. Ground floor only: a living room with woodburner and dining area flows into a kitchen equipped for proper cooking; one double bedroom and a shower room complete the layout. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. There are three steps up to the verandah and garden beyond, where a table and chairs face the water.
A car is essential here, and parking is on site. Glenfinnan and the Road to the Isles lie 12 miles away; Fort William, about 25 miles south, is the region's main hub. From nearby harbours at Mallaig and Arisaig you can reach the Small Isles—Skye, Rum, Eigg, Muck and Canna—or take the ferry to Mull. The white sand beaches of Morar are within reach, as are Ardnamurchan Peninsula and the woodland trails that lattice the region. The setting suits someone who wants to base themselves somewhere quiet and step out into either outdoor activity or simply the landscape itself.
