Eilean Donan Apartment is a contemporary two-bedroom property that accommodates six guests across two floors in Kyle, within a mile of the coast. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and a three-quarter double; the second has a king-size bed. One bathroom has a bath with shower; an ensuite shower room serves the main bedroom. A living and dining area opens onto a kitchen equipped for self-catering, with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included in your stay.
The apartment welcomes one dog at no extra charge. No smoking is permitted. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:00. A public car park sits 100 metres away. The coastal location makes it straightforward for walkers and anyone planning to explore the Highlands; Kyle itself offers access to Skye and the wider region's hill routes and lochs.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The communication from the get go with April was great. Happy to answer questions, friendly, and takes immaculate care of the place. The apartments were impeccable with tasteful Scottish decor. The 4 bedroom was very spacious and overlooked the castle. The short walk over the bridge brings you to an idyllic village with two excellent choices for fare. The evenings there were outstanding. Being in the countryside versus a town like Portree allows you to fully embrace the quiet beauty and astounding surroundings, and yet serves as a convenient central location for exploring the Highlands. I am dreaming of the day I can go back and enjoy this gem of a place.

The apartment itself is nice and clean however it didn’t meet our expectations. Don’t be mislead by the promise to have a castle and loch view out of the apartment. Our 2-bed apartment (Glomach) had neither. Only a backside view on some administrative buildings. Be aware that none of their 2 bedroom apartments offer the view. Moreover, the apartment itself was extremely hot and loud. There is an aircon on the ground floor which is on constant operation and there is absolutely no way to switch it off. The staff at the reception was neither particularly helpful nor friendly. The last but no least there is no sense of tranquility and peace as the technical entrance for the administrative and cleaning staff is just next door, so you have a constant flow of people in front of your windows. Overall I don’t recommend staying at this location if you are booking 2-bedroom apartment.

From the beginning to end, our stay at the apartment was more than perfect. Check in was very smooth and April was very friendly. She even let us in before the original check in time and showed everything around. The apartment was very spacious, warm and extremely clean. We had 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for ourselves. Without a doubt the best shower I ever had. Kitchen had everything you need. The location was also fantastic. Amazing views over looking the castle, few pubs around and very peaceful area! On our check out, I met a lovely deerhound in the office. I will definitely be back, this time with my dog. Yes, they are dog friendly too! Did I mention it was the best holiday apartment we ever stayed in? Loved it!
