Loch Duich Cottage comes ready for you to arrive and settle in. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, and the kitchen is properly outfitted—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer—so cooking for six is straightforward rather than a scramble. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer downstairs too. The three bedrooms sleep six: one kingsize with its own ensuite wet room, and two further bedrooms with single beds each. A second family bathroom has a bath with shower over.
The cottage sits on the loch shore in its own small bay near Kyle, on the Highland coast. The garden opens onto a patio right by the water, where otters and other wildlife are regular visitors. Kyle of Lochalsh, with its bridge to Skye, is 15 minutes away by car; a shop is half a mile down the road. The walking and climbing country around here is superb, and sea fishing from the shore is possible. The property is non-smoking. Wheelchair access is available, and a cot and highchair can be provided.

Fantastic place to stay, great views and right in the Loch - all in one level so great for disabled - the double room has en-suite which is very well disabled equipped. Lucky enough to see dolphins in the channel, and had lovely clear night to star gaze. Had some feral goats visiting each day to trim the grass for us. The house is very comfortable and spacious - old style large rooms with no need to squeeze in anywhere. Highly recommended.

A nice cottage with spectacular views. Luckily it snowed while we were there. Cottage is all on one level with an access ramp and disabled friendly shower room. Cottage is being being revamped in the next few weeks.

Loch Duich Cottage shines for its unbeatable location, with jaw-dropping views of Loch Duich, the Skye mountains, and the Five Sisters of Kintail, earning full marks for its setting. It's perfectly positioned for easy access to the Isle of Skye and just 3.1 miles from Eilean Donan Castle, with grocery shopping conveniently available in Kyle of Lochalsh. However, the cottage itself feels dated and needs a refresh—the kitchen, rooms, and bathroom could all use modern upgrades to match the stunning surroundings. The lochside lawn is a lovely spot, but swarms of midges and bees make it nearly impossible to relax outside. Great for location, but the aging interior and insect issues are drawbacks.
