Nethy Bridge is a small village deep in the Cairngorms National Park, surrounded by Scots pine forest and set within reach of Loch Insh and the wider Highland landscape. Lorien Cottage sits here as a single-storey property sleeping nine across four bedrooms: two doubles, and two rooms with bunks plus a single. The ground-floor layout means no stairs, and everything flows between a living area with woodburner, a separate second sitting room, the kitchen and two bathrooms—one with a bath and shower, one with shower only. The enclosed back garden is secure for children and dogs to use freely.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer, so self-catering for a larger group is straightforward. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included, as is fuel for the wood burner and parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property does not allow smoking.
From here, the Cairngorms offer forest trails for walking and cycling, and Loch Insh is nearby for kayaking and other water activities. Nethy Bridge Stores and other local amenities are within the village. Families and groups will find the space and facilities suited to a week or longer break rather than a short stay.
