Inverness spreads across the banks of the River Ness, a fast-flowing river that anchors the small city and opens up to Highland walks on both sides. Ness-side Apartment sits in a quiet residential neighbourhood yet reaches the river, Eden Court Theatre, and the bars and restaurants that line the waterfront within a few minutes on foot. The city centre's shops, High Street and leisure facilities are equally close at hand.
The apartment occupies the second floor and is yours alone. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a king bed, the other with two singles. There's a living room with Freeview Smart TV, a kitchen with gas hob and electric oven for proper cooking, and a shower room. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. One small or medium dog stays free of charge. Two cars can park on site, and no smoking is permitted inside.
From here, the Highlands open up. The Caledonian Canal and Great Glen Way branch off the river itself; within an hour's drive are some of Scotland's most celebrated golf courses, including Royal Dornoch and the world's 15th-oldest course at Fortrose; and the North Coast 500 begins to the north. Inverness works as a base for a few nights exploring the region, or as a stopping point on a longer Highland trip.
