🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Number Five Isle View - Isle View

Photo: Y G

Number Five Isle View sits on the Highland coast just beyond Broadford, where the landscape opens onto Broadford Bay with the Applecross Hills across the water. The cottage stands yards from the sea itself, backed by half an acre of garden and surrounded by the kind of walking country that draws people to Skye—rocky beaches nearby, and within reach of Portree, Plockton, Glenelg and the various distilleries, brochs and castles scattered through the region.

Inside, it's a two-bedroom base for four people. Downstairs holds a living room with an open fire, a dining room, and a kitchen fitted for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and an en-suite toilet, one with two single beds; a family bathroom sits alongside. The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi. Initial fuel for the fire is included. There is car parking for two on site and a bike store.

The village shop is 500 yards away, pubs and restaurants 300 yards. A pub and restaurant are within walking distance. The property does not accept children under 12, and there is an unfenced loch 50 yards from the cottage. Non-smoking only.

Amazing Location, well paced for Skye attractions. Very clean and everything you need. Due to its size (reflected in the good price) it can be a little tight. View out the front window stunning, spent so much time watching the weather and view change. However this is good as my only gripe is the internet (WiFi) is so bad I couldn't stream TV. Network was faster in the end. Even researching locations on phone was slow.

Great, well equipped, cosy, coastal, self catering chalet for two. Well situated for Skye activities. Walking distance from some well regarded cafes and restaurants.
