Red Squirrel Lodge is a single-storey, detached property within the Cairngorms, positioned on an estate that overlooks the river and surrounding countryside. It suits couples or small families seeking a base for outdoor pursuits—fishing and golf are available nearby, and Inverness is minutes away for urban attractions, restaurants and shops. The lodge has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating four guests in total privacy, with parking on site.
The main living spaces open onto views across the estate grounds. Essentials like electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, along with wifi. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. Non-smokers only; one well-behaved pet is welcome. Check-in is after 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
Guests have access to a range of day trips: Loch Ness cruises, Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and dolphin spotting on the Moray Firth all lie within reasonable driving distance. For longer excursions, Eilean Donan Castle, the Isle of Skye and Orkney are possible, as are visits to distilleries on the Strathspey Whisky Trail. Salmon fishing can be arranged a mile away, or simply step outside to walk the estate and surrounding countryside.
