🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Seascape

Photo: Seascape

Seascape comes complete with everything needed for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge, making it straightforward to prepare meals or do laundry. A woodburner in the living room provides warmth on cooler evenings, with initial fuel included. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are all covered. The ground floor layout comprises a living and dining room with Freeview TV and DVD player, two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with a three-quarter double—and a shower room with heated towel rail. A cot and highchair are available on request.

The property overlooks open countryside towards Staffin Bay from its natural grounds, which have a sitting-out area and parking for two cars. It suits couples or small families wanting to explore the Isle of Skye; restaurants and a pub are half a mile away, with shops two miles distant. The area is known for outdoor pursuits—walking, cycling, kayaking and sea trips—and for accessible attractions like Portree's harbour-front shops and restaurants, or Dunvegan Castle nearby. No smoking is permitted inside.

I stayed in Seascape in July 2024 for 4 nights with my husband and booked the place via airbnb. It’s a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle and for some quiet time. The house has all the amenities for a longer stay (including a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine). The location is great and has a fantastic view of the bay and cliffs. You need to have a car to commute to Dunvegan and other parts of Isle of Skye but that’s a mandatory requirement if you want to stay and travel anywhere in the entire island. The hosts are responsive and give you complete privacy. We had the best time and look forward to staying there again.

This is a pefect Location for your vacancies. The owners are lovely and the House itself is outstanding. You have the nicest of views towards the coastline and you stay in a very quiet place. The house itself has pretty much everything you need, even for a longer stay. It is also a very good starting point to visit all of the Sights of the Isle of Skye. It is a bit of a hidden gem and we enjoyed our stay. And if you‘re unlucky with the weather… just enjoy the views
