Flodigarry Hotel and Skye Restaurant

My dinner at the Flodigarry Hotel was nothing short of exceptional and easily ranks among the finest dining experiences I have had in Scotland. Every single course was outstanding. The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the dishes, the flawless execution, and the beautiful presentation all reflected a kitchen operating at an international five-star level. It is rare to find a menu where every choice impresses equally, but that was exactly my experience. The service deserves special recognition. Every member of the team was genuinely warm, incredibly attentive, and effortlessly professional. I always felt welcome and cared for without the service ever becoming intrusive. Their passion for hospitality was evident throughout the entire evening. The wine selection was equally impressive. My wine was beautifully balanced, elegant, and complemented the food perfectly, elevating an already memorable meal even further. What made the evening truly special was how seamlessly everything came together. Outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, a wonderful atmosphere, and genuine hospitality created an experience that exceeded every expectation. The Flodigarry Hotel is far more than just a beautiful place to stay—it is a destination for exceptional dining in its own right. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable evening. We stayed at Flodigarry for a week last year when they reopened under new management, and it was probably our favorite vacation in ten years. Every breakfast item we tried was delicious and very nicely plated, and the one night we stayed for dinner, it was superb. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable, probably the most comfortable we've slept in at a hotel. Staff were friendly, efficient, kind and very knowledgeable about the area. We actually selected Flodigarry based on two criteria: the advertised fast internet and the comfortable-looking mattresses. I needed to join Zoom meetings and work during part of our trip, and the internet was fast and reliable. We absolutely loved our stay at Flodigarry. Thanks for a great vacation!

I usually try to avoid reviewing hotels, but this one is different. 1. Location - amazing place, nice views, absolutely quiet with no traffic. Worth a visit any time. 2. The room - very well maintained, looks like new (although I doubt it is new), clean and nice. It looks actually been taken care of (that includes garden and other areas around). More than just OK like in many 5 star hotels. 3. Restaurant - dinner was very nice, the food and the service. Breakfast was fine.

We absolutely loved the hotel — it exceeded our expectations. It is located in the north of the Isle of Skye, in a setting where nature and breathtaking views truly take center stage. We stayed in one of the rooms in the Flora MacDonald Cottage. Both the room and bathroom were beautifully designed down to every detail, with spacious, airy interiors and impeccable cleanliness. The staff were extremely professional and genuinely kind, always ready to meet guests’ needs with a smile. Breakfast was fantastic and of a very high standard, with great attention to the use of local products. We also dined at the restaurant, which offers a refined and romantic atmosphere, and the dishes were absolutely delicious. We will definitely return for a longer stay.
