Shore View Cottage

Photo: Γιώργος .Κουτρου

North Kessock sits across the water from Inverness, close enough to reach the city's restaurants, museums and shops yet far enough to feel like genuine escape. The village itself is quiet and walkable; Inverness town centre is a short drive or a longer walk over the Kessock Bridge. The Black Isle beyond offers coastal paths, beaches and rural exploration on foot or by car.

Shore View is a 19th-century cottage facing the water, set back just yards from the high tide mark on the village shoreside road. The ground floor holds a living room with wood burner and Smart TV, and a kitchen/dining space with a full range of appliances including dishwasher and coffee machine. One double bedroom with ensuite bathroom is also on this level, alongside a utility room. Upstairs, two further bedrooms—a double and a twin—share access to a shower room. The property sleeps six and comes with bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating included. Outside, a small front garden opens onto the road; to the side, a larger seating area with fire pit and garden furniture faces the water. Private parking is available for two cars. The cottage is non-smoking.

Absolutely lovely cottage, great location, you have everything you need and more. Hazel is also very, very nice. Thank you and hopefully we will be back one day!

The room was absolutely perfect! I’ll start with the location — just a little outside the center of Inverness, away from the noise of the city, but still close enough that you don’t miss anything. We noticed there was a bus stop nearby, although we didn’t use it since we had our own car, and there was a dedicated parking area available. The house itself was spacious and very comfortable for at least six people, with three bedrooms and two large bathrooms. We were especially impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was, as well as the beautiful garden with the pod, which was full of board games. Unfortunately, we only had one day there, so we didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy everything. Finally, the owner was very friendly and always willing to help with any questions we had. Highly recommended!

Amazing house—clean, with incredible views, spacious with three bathrooms and three bedrooms. There’s a nice, functional kitchen if you want to cook, fully equipped, an outdoor table perfect for relaxing, and a great little capsule space that we didn’t use but looked very cozy.
