A three-mile stretch of sandy beach runs past The Herons, with the shoreline just beyond the garden boundary. This part of the far north coast faces across Sinclair's Bay towards Noss Head Lighthouse, and marine life—whales, porpoises, dolphins and occasional orcas—appear regularly from the water's edge. The nearest pub is half a mile away; restaurants are further afield near Wick, the county town.
The house itself has three bedrooms sleeping seven: one with an ensuite and king bed, one with a king and single, and one with two singles. Two bathrooms serve the property. Downstairs, the living room has a solid fuel burner for cooler months, and there's a separate games room with a pool table. The kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher and the usual appliances; a utility room handles laundry. An enclosed garden with a barbecue faces away from the sea, and parking is on site. Essentials including wi-fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. One dog stays free.
The location works as a base for bird watching, fishing, golf links, boat trips, or visiting Wick's attractions and the Castle of Mey. No smoking indoors.
