🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

The House on the Point

The House on the Point sits at the water's edge in Kylerhea, where the loch narrows. Wildlife—otters, seals, dolphins, porpoises and golden eagles—move through the water and sky throughout the day. The cottage is the oldest in the hamlet, reached via a rough track that keeps the wider world at a distance; you'll hear the loch and its inhabitants more often than traffic.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a double bed, one with twin beds. The ground floor has a living room with wood burner and Smart TV, a kitchen equipped for cooking, a sun room opening onto a sitting area, and a shower room. Upstairs, the bedrooms are positioned to catch the sounds of water and wildlife. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with fuel for the wood burner. One dog may stay free, though the surrounding fields are home to sheep so your dog will need to remain on a lead. The cottage has parking for two cars and sits on its own with direct access to the shore, where a small community runs boat trips on the Kylerhea Narrows. Fly fishing is available on the property itself. Children under five are not accommodated. No smoking.
