I booked one of the site’s “eco-pods” for £75 a night, expecting a simple but comfortable stay. What I didn’t expect was to be left without heating in near-freezing temperatures because the electricity runs on a prepaid card system that only accepts coins. When the remaining credit from the previous guest ran out around 11 p.m., the radiator shut down completely. With no coins available on site, I found myself alone in the dark and cold, eventually leaving the pod to try and stay warm in the shared living room (unsuccessfully). I understand the idea of keeping things minimal and environmentally conscious, but some basics should still be guaranteed for guests’ safety and comfort, especially at this price point. Bedding and towels aren’t provided, which wasn’t well mentioned during the booking process, and the shared kitchen lacks most basic items. The need for linen and coins is stated in the email gotten after the confirmation of booking, so I did bring a sleeping bag but no coins as I believed wrongly that electricity would only be needed for non essential utilities. The overall impression is that you’re expected to bring nearly everything yourself: bedding, towels, utensils, and, in a way, even your own warmth. That might be acceptable for a summer camping trip, but not in winter. And not for 75£ a night, maybe 20£ to 25£ at most. I don’t write this to be harsh, I simply don’t think this setup is safe or fair for guests. I’d strongly suggest either ensuring that electricity credits are included for all winter stays, or limiting rental of the pods to the summer months. As it stands, the experience was frightening, isolating, and fell far short of what £75 a night should provide

Had an amazing family holiday in the beautiful Otter Lodge. The rooms were perfect for all the family and the kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for everyone to come together. The views and scenery from the lodge were stunning and the spacious well kept areas surrounding it were idea for kids and adult alike. All the staff were friendly and helpful and an especially big shout out to George who came to our rescue on departure day when one of our cars wouldn't start. can't wait to come bak again.

We took a group of ASN pupils from Larkhall Academy with Paradventures to Badaguish and had a fantastic experience. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the facilities are well-suited for additional support needs. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating, ensuring all pupils felt included and supported. Activities were well organised and really helped build confidence and enjoyment. A brilliant experience for our young people—highly recommend and we look forward to returning!
