Had a lovely time here at The Three Kings. The staff really looked after us and were super friendly and came over for chats during their quieter moments. They were quick, efficient and very well organised! The food was tasty and really reasonably priced and the atmosphere inside was really nice. Clean establishment and dog friendly too which is nice to see in London. Thank you for looking after my Mum also who had accessibility needs and for making her (and I) that bit more comfortable during our stay. We will return! P.S - Great music too!

I thought it best to write a review about this place since the owners have changed. I was going to stay silent but in this day and age I refuse to. I went to the Three kings by myself when I walked in in I was greeted with a disingenuous smile by the land lady bare in mind I was dressed very eloquently and as I live in the area I have never had any problems going into any of the surrounding pubs especially not this one as I have been inside the pub before. I had a sense of unease but I really needed to get out of the heat so I purchased an item and took a seat. I then had to leave the pub briefly let as I needed to take a phone call. As I returned her husband had was now behind the front desk with her again I felt very odd. His blank stares and her uneasy smile. However I thought I must be making a big deal out of nothing. I then proceeded to go to the bar to ask for a glass of tap water baring in mind the heat outside was 33 degrees. I was then refused very sternly and told “ If you want to stay in the pub you have to purchase a drink” I was very perplexed and confused as I had already purchased and item which he was aware off, better yet what normal human being refused a lady tap water in the scorching heat. As I didn’t want to make a big deal of this I proceeded to pay for a glass of watered down lemonade and go to my sweat. As I was observing the other patrons I could see how relaxed and genuinely friendly the couple were to the other white counterparts. So how comes the energy towards me was so hostile? Going pass this pub on my day to day I’ve always noticed a lack of brown and black people there however surrounding pubs seem to have more I wonder if this is their aim? A lot of people like myself go back and forth on whether to call out racism when we see or feel it but I feel a injustice knowing how I was treated and I refuse to have anyone who looks like me further the same uncomfortable experience. All I can say is DO BETTER.

Nicest, kindest, most lovely staff (owners?) in the world. Cutest little corner pub on a lovely street. Will definitely return! They were so nice when we were annoying (working with laptops) and the bar has several functional outlets, which is incredible and rare. Stopping in this pub made me want to live in the neighborhood.

Very rude and unprofessional owner. My partner and I planned to get a drink here during the World Cup final and had been standing on the pavement outside to watch the TV through the window for a few seconds, when the landlord, walking his dogs, saw us and suddenly, very unkindly, told us to move away – “we are a business, you know”. We had literally just arrived and were finishing the remains of a takeaway, but had the full intention of staying and buying a drink to watch the game but this behaviour put us right off. We didn’t touch a single part of his property and even apologised at first for any misunderstanding, yet he still seemed extremely angry with us for no reason, even telling us we should buy a drink “down the road”. What a way to ruin someone’s evening. My partner is Asian, and reading other reviews I can’t help but wonder if he has a problem with ethnic minorities / non-white-presenting people. I support pubs but, please, take your money elsewhere to one of the many better establishments in the area!
