About Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport
Gatwick's North Terminal is reachable on foot from Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport, making it a practical base for early departures or late arrivals. Beyond the terminal, Horley and the surrounding area offer a golf course, pubs, bars and restaurants within reach for anyone breaking up a journey or staying over before a flight.
The hotel itself has 194 rooms across seven floors, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks in the room. Facilities extend to a gym, a bar, a restaurant and a snack bar, plus meeting rooms, laundry service and luggage storage for those juggling flight times. Free WiFi runs throughout, and kids' meals are available for families travelling together.
Breakfast is included and offers both hot and continental choices, though quality has been inconsistent by some accounts. Parking is available nearby for a charge rather than on-site. For anyone flying from the North Terminal, the short walk from room to check-in remains the main draw.
What guests say
Very good value. Could not get a better location for north terminal departures short of being the other side of security. Offers a pretty comprehensive free breakfast which I unfortunately missed. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. My only complaint was that it had been the hottest recorded day in May in the UK and the air conditioning was not keeping up which made it very hard to sleep so I have deducted 1 star purely for poor aircon.

We are currently staying on this hotel and whilst the location is very good and we have stayed here twice before (without any problem), and we were generally happy with our previous 2no stays However this time, we were given a room on their 6th floor (614) and the floors creak and squeak all over. I hope that this does not mean that we do not get a good night's sleep as I need good sleep to function properly. We did speak to the Hotel Reception staff and were told that this is an old building and unfortunately the majority of rooms creak, and they are well aware of it, but could not change our room. We certainly cannot remember our previous rooms having such squeaky floors, as we would not have booked again had we encountered this before. Another thing to be aware of, is the "American thing" of adding a "DISCRETIONARY 12.5% CHARGE" on all food and drink. Whilst this is "DISCRETIONARY" they do not give you the option of paying it, they just add it to the bill, so effectively giving them a 12.5% increase. Generally, we will always add a 10% tip to the bill, but on this occasion we only had drinks from the bar which we went to the bar to get, and queued in turn, so nothing special was given. In this situation, I would NOT add a gratuity as they have only been doing their job that they get paid for. I cannot comment on how we sleep tonight, but I think in future we will probably resort back to Premier Inn, where the floors don't creak, and gratuitires are not jusy added, unless you want them to be. Overall so far, I would say I am disappointed with our visit and will probably avoid tthe Hilton Hotel Chain in the future

Absolutely wonderful for a morning departure. Rather than risk the early morning traffic to meet an early departure to Singapore, we decided to spend the prior evening here at this wonderful hotel. Whilst it is a busy Hotel the staff went out of their way to ensure we were all treated with respect. The room was ideal for a family of three, with comfortable beds and an interesting musical decor. Rather than head out to dinner at not so near restaurants, we decided to eat in and relax in the Hotel restaurant. Whilst the meal choices were simple hotel style options, the food and the service staff were exceptional. A big shout out to Kristian our food waiter and Diogo who went out of his way to make us a real Chai Latte, and also made our bar experience fantastic. (Apologies if I got these names wrong). After a comfortable and quiet nights sleep the check-out was simple and with the direct internal access to the North terminal we were thru in no time with no hassles or delays. I am a regular Hilton Honors member and this experience rates up there with the best.

Absolutely perfect! The best airport hotel we have stayed in. The location for Gatwick North terminal is amazing, could not be closer! Its just meters from the checking area, especially Easy Jet. The hotel reception was so good; friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms are great too and its all such good value. Great bed and shower, it could not have been better in this price point. Tiago was so kind and helpful.
