Glebe Stables

What was once a working stable building is now Glebe Stables, a single-storey conversion that keeps the character of its origins while delivering thoroughly modern comfort. The property sits on quiet countryside near Steyning, with the South Downs and Sussex coast within reach. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms mean four guests can spread out without compromise—a king bed with ensuite in one room, two singles and a separate shower room in the other. Everything happens on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to negotiate.

The main living space opens up in one large plan: kitchen, dining and lounge areas flow together beneath vaulted ceilings, with bi-fold doors that step straight onto a garden and patio. A wood burner anchors the lounge for cool months. The kitchen is fitted out for proper cooking—electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine—rather than holiday basics. Underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump keeps the place warm year-round; wood for the burner, along with electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels, are all included. There is parking for four cars on site.

The owners keep ponies and goats, and one dog is welcome to stay free of charge. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 10:30am.
