What visitors say
We visited Amberley Museum to display our car in the classic car show. But what a fantastic day it was at the museum. So much to see and do. Lots of fun playing 'do you remember'. Highly recommend the museum for a wonderful day out. Would recommend taking a flask and sandwiches asthew queue for the cafe was long and very slow.

Fascinating for young and old alike. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Cafe good, not too expensive. Train rides and bus rides included. A few steps from Amberley Railway Sration. Also free oarking for visitors. Ample blue badge space. Excellent for wheel chair users. Dog friendly on a lead (or pram - like us) Why not 5 star - toilets need seeing to. Bit on the pricey side but still highly recommend.

Amazing museum set in the chalk hills of West Sussex. There is lots to see and do Incuding a steam train ride, open top bus ride, workshops, a print shop where they let you print your own souvenir, electric displays and lots of exhibits to see. I was really impressed with some of the machinery they had on display. Some I've never seen before at other museums. The set up and all the smells. It really takes you back to those times! The other thing I found impressive was the volunteers and workers. They were all brilliant. Very passionate at what they do. They were happy to explain things and were always smiling and helping people. We went on a day where they had a classic car display so we had the added bonus of seeing some beautiful cars. Definitely worth a visit and we can't wait to go back. There is a big car park with overflow, toilets, a café & coffee stalls also on site.

Didn't realise how big it was. At first sight you think it is wholly about the past production of lime from the chalk pits, but then on top of that there are railway and bus rides, old vehicles, printing presses, various engines radio&TV, telephone systems, electrical systems, woodwork, stonework, ironwork, pottery and a cafe. Many volunteers eager to pass on their knowledge and enthusiasm. I went round in my wheelchair with an electric wheel and got to most places. Busses wouldn't be able to take me but train ride would. We went for a couple hours had a light lunch and stayed for the afternoon as well.
