What diners say
Absolutely outstanding meal, not one duff dish. Loved the pork belly & cheese sandwich especially, and the octopus was spectacular. Lovely, unassuming East end boozer, very friendly staff, and this food was absolutely bang on. Bill came to £150 inc service, both of us stuffed full and happy, friend had 3-4 pints, I had several soft drinks, they had some good, unusual options for softs. Highly recommend

Top tier spot - pints are cheap and food is delicious. Everything was tasty, highlights were the devilled potatoes and piri piri chicken which was proper charred and full of flavour without being overpoweringly hot. Quite an atmosphere so not the most relaxed spot for a quiet catch up, but if you're after buzz and good food this colourful old pub ticks every box. Would definitely recommend.

I was meeting a friend in Hoxton so i found this pub on the map and just wow its a hidden jem, the atmosphere is buzzing with very cool people, not only they sell my favourite drink Murphys they also cook right in front of you, we decided to stay and order food, we were very lucky as one table just opened up for us to sit, what can i say we ordered a pork belly served in crusty fresh ciabatta sandwich marinated to perfection, then the oysters tasted like they just been pulled out of the ocean and the red med marinade inside was very tastily accompanied the oysters, next was the the king prawns also finger licking, we ordered more drinks, the cheft recommended we should try the roasted chicken on Mediterranean rice which was so delicious too.. We will be back with a group of friends very soon but i just wanted everyone to know how much we enjoyed your food here Thank you much guys See you soon

All I can say is… tasty 🤤 the food was so amazing and yummy. I love the Bifana the meat was so well grilled I couldn’t get enough. The chicken and rice was great and the best was the lamb neck vindaloo…I want this again and will be coming back. The staff were so friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend this place. The only reason for not 5 star is the drink choice. For me I like ale and more choice would have been better. Just me
