What guests say
I’m sharing this as feedback for the owners, as this is such a lovely place and I would genuinely love to keep coming back. Even one interaction can shape the whole experience, and a bit more warmth and attentiveness from the service would make a real difference. Service was mixed today. The waitress was polite, but I had to ask for things like water, and when I asked about charging my phone, I was told there wasn’t a place for that. So I went towards the bar area where I knew there was a socket. The gentleman at the bar was consistently attentive, kind and caring with all guests. He noticed my situation and helped me move to a table in the restaurant area where I could sit comfortably and charge my phone. Thank you, he really saved the whole experience for me

Lovely place to stay! Maisie was excallent at check in, she sorted everything perfectly! I was really impressed. Breakfast was really good! Only downside was no air conditioning in the room and the water in the tap wouldn't run cold, so had to drink luke warm water.

We booked 2 nights and assigned to a small room, weather temps were high of 80 F. There was a small fan and a window that can only open to about 2 inches, a lot of heat came into the room & even risen from downstairs, worse time was 5-9pm. I had to stay in the whole day today due to not feeling well and it was very hot. Even after a cool shower at eleven pm, we started dripping in sweat again, even with temps at 60’s F. The bathroom has a tiny cracked window up above and blocked by a shade, no plug in the bathroom. To be fair, these high temps are unusual in UK? We have been traveling throughout Europe these past two weeks and most hotels do have air conditioners. Location is great and staffs were very good, our meals were very good too.

We visited today for lunch, myself and my son in law to be, we waited some time for our food which is understandable as they are busy, however when our food arrived my belly pork was stone cold! The crackling was not so crackling Infact like rubber! Admittedly my meal was replaced with a fresh meal and refunded but by this time my son in law had finished his so I ate alone!, why are the temperatures of meat not checked before they leave the kitchen? The condiments I requested (mustard) were not available also, overall not a good experience!
