About York Hotel
Ilford is a well-connected part of Greater London, with local transport links, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all within easy reach, making it a practical base for visiting the capital. The York Hotel sits right in the centre of it, on York Road, putting guests close to the area's shops, eateries and bars without the higher prices of central London.
Rooms at the York Hotel are kept simple, with family rooms available alongside options aimed at adult guests only. Drinks are provided in room, and breakfast is included each morning to set guests up for the day. Free WiFi runs throughout, useful for those working or keeping in touch while travelling.
Beyond the hotel, guests will find a golf course nearby along with a choice of pubs, bars and restaurants for evening plans. It's a straightforward, unfussy stay suited to those who want a comfortable base in Ilford rather than a destination in itself.
Visitors say this hotel offers good service for the price, has a warm duvet, and provides maximum security and protection.
Other reviews mention rooms can be poorly maintained and have a persistent, unpleasant smell.
