Tucked into 25 acres of ancient woodland and meadow just outside West Down, this family-run streamside site puts you within easy reach of North Devon's finest beaches – Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are both a 10-minute drive – while keeping you nestled in proper countryside peace. The River Caen meanders through the grounds, perfect for a post-surf picnic, and there's woodland to roam when you fancy stretching your legs between bodyboarding sessions.

The on-site bar and kitchen keeps things simple with straightforward food and drink, and there's a communal firepit area with logs and kindling provided for evening gatherings. Facilities cover the basics – hot showers, washing-up sinks – though some might find them a touch rustic for the price. A regular bus service stops right outside the entrance, handy for car-free trips into Ilfracombe, and wheelbarrows (or the site's little tractor) help ferry your kit from the car park to your pitch along the track.
