High Ways House

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful B&B in Devon, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The hosts were warm, friendly, and clearly take great pride in providing a wonderful stay for their guests. The room was absolutely immaculate , spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and with every little detail thoughtfully considered. It was a real home from-home, and I felt instantly relaxed and comfortable. Each morning, I was treated to a delicious breakfast, freshly prepared with quality ingredients. There was a lovely variety to choose from, and everything was cooked to perfection. It really set me up for the day and was one of the highlights of my stay. Overall, I couldn’t fault a single thing. The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, the service was outstanding, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into making sure every guest feels looked after. I’m very happy with my stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Jayne and Terry were excellent hosts. Made To feel very comfortable from the start. The room was great, lovely honest approach to a b&b. Very kindly ran us into town as well! Will definitely highly recommend and I will go back at some point.

High Ways Guest House is a real find. Run by a single host who clearly puts heart and soul into every detail, the place is spotless and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The food is superb. Fresh, generous, and served with genuine warmth. Her local knowledge is spot-on too, with advice that helped us uncover places we’d never have found on our own. What’s more, the price makes it all feel like a lucky break. It’s rare to find this level of quality and care at such great value. Don’t miss it.

Highways House is a little gem in Devon and Jane, the owner, is the star of the show. She’ll fuss over you like family, make sure you’re looked after, and then serve up a breakfast so good you’ll wonder if you can move in permanently. Warning: she genuinely cares about your health and well-being… so expect a bit of gentle nagging along with your bacon! Honestly, if you want a stay full of laughs, comfort, and the best start to your day, this is the place. Don’t just visit Devon – do it the Jayne way!
