The Green Fold
North Devon
Photo: Google Maps
The Green Fold is a bell tent on a working farm in North Devon, sleeping four on proper beds made up before you arrive. You get the whole place to yourself: a canvas structure with a wood-burning stove just outside, fairy lights inside, and access to a covered outdoor kitchen complete with gas barbecue, cooking equipment and crockery. There's also a fire pit for evenings. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
The tent sits within its own area of a four-acre field. A pub lies within a mile, and the coastline—Woolacombe, Saunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe beaches—is roughly 10 to 20 minutes' drive away. The setting is rural and fairly isolated; wildlife including deer and pheasants moves through the farm. This is a place to step back rather than stay plugged in, though you won't find electric points inside the tent itself. No smoking.
