About Mullacott Farm

Mullacott Farm is a converted barn on a working farm at Mullacott Cross, just outside Ilfracombe. The original stone-and-timber structure has been adapted into a small B&B with six en-suite rooms, including family and accessible options, giving it a rural character that sets it apart from the town's seafront hotels.

Rooms come with WiFi and drinks, and breakfast is served each morning to set guests up for the day. Outside there's a garden and outdoor seating for taking in the farm surroundings, along with free on-site parking, luggage storage and 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals and departures.

The location suits those keen to explore both the North Devon coast and Exmoor National Park, with walking and cycling routes close by, plus golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports all within reach. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment can be found nearby too, making it a practical base for a few days of mixing countryside and coast.

Excellent place to stay! The hosts Alison and her husband were wonderful, and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable with everything you could need available in the room. Loved that we could help ourselves to any extra hot drinks sachets in the kitchen, with the kitchen being fitted out with additional tea coffee and toast making facilities. The showers always had hot water and the shower pressure was perfect. The location is very remote but we booked this venue for a scuba diving trip because they could accommodate a big group between the barn and the b&b. Would definitely stay again for the next scuba dive! It was lovely to see the chickens, ducks and geese on the farm.

Beautiful working farm with lovely hard working hosts (3 generations!). We so enjoyed trying the new glamping tents: we camped in No2 Lazy Days tent. Comfy proper beds for 4 people, ample space, basic amenities you need and fully carpeted. 5 of us camped in the tent, squeezing in a travel cot for the baby. Not too crowded camping ground at all! You can also see the sea from the middle of the field! We took drives to ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde :) thank you Mullacot! We’ll be back!

Excellent base from which to head for Lundy. Left car at the farm and got discounted room rate, so it was great value anyway - but lovely spacious room, comfy bed, good shower, super clean and great takeaway brekkie (or lunch if you’re worried about the crossing). Alison really friendly and helpful. I had a bad back and they happily lent me a hot water bottle for the trip. Best choice for a Lundy trip if you’re driving to ilfracombe.
