About Premier Inn Inverness Centre River Ness
Walk into a room at Premier Inn Inverness Centre River Ness and you'll find a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom with a decent shower, air conditioning and a small selection of drinks to hand. Many rooms look out over the River Ness or across the city, and with 99 rooms spread across five floors there's a good range to choose from, including accessible options. It's worth saying that upkeep isn't always consistent, so the odd room may show its wear.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for evening meals, plus a breakfast buffet that guests rate as one of the highlights of a stay. Free WiFi and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, and on-site parking is available, though spaces are limited and chargeable, so it's worth asking reception about guest discounts in advance.
The location by the River Ness puts Inverness city centre within easy reach on foot, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing and horse riding, along with pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out.
What guests say
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent stay at this hotel. My experience was deeply concerning due to significant service failures and unprofessional conduct by your staff.Despite the premium pricing, the hotel appears severely understaffed. Room service was inadequate, cleaning was strictly limited to towel replacement, which was neither stated nor communicated during the room service request. Furthermore, the breakfast provided did not meet the standards expected of this hotel chain. Eg - If bread is finished, the server says, it is finished and no further replenishment will occur. Most distressing was the behavior of the Hotel Manager, Dean, and staff member, Shannon. Both individuals were consistently rude and lacked basic hospitality training. When I attempted to voice my concerns, I was met with hostility rather than assistance. Specifically, Dean threatened to have my family—including my 15-month-old child and my 65-year-old parents—removed from the hotel at 5:30 PM and mentioned involving the police simply because I sought to make a complaint by raising false alarms & accusations. To ensure the safety and comfort of my family for the night, I was forced to apologize for my grievances until we could secure alternative accommodations the following day. I strongly urge the corporate management team to review the employment and conduct of Dean and Shannon. Their actions were unprofessional and have seriously damaged the reputation of your brand. I look forward to your prompt response regarding how this matter will be addressed.

This is a fabulous location with easy walks to all the main sights and sounds in Inverness. The hotel is clean and bright with large rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast had great options. Between the two of us, we had 4 dinners and each meal was plentiful and delicious. The best part of our experience here were the staff we met: Stuart, Josh and Tyler! They made us feel very welcome. They were the epitome of wonderful hosts!

Atmosphere was poor - the hand soap was covered in mold/gunk, the sheets had holes in them, there was an odd smell in the elevators every time we took them, and our window was stuck open. No water (except for the vending machine which charged double the grocery store per bottle). It seemed like the hotel was very understaffed. Don’t let the glass facade fool you - most rooms do not have a view of the river. As a pro - when we asked the manager for soap because ours was out, they got it quickly. The location was also quite nice and less than a 10 minute walk from everything.

The best parts of our Premier Inn stay were the friendly, helpful staff and the memorably tasty breakfast. We chose the cold continental buffet, and we had a lovely selection of yogurt, fruit, granola and delicious, flaky pastries, with other choices in addition to that. Their coffee machine produces a wide variety of options, and we found the perfect cup for each of us Loved the location right on the River Ness, and they are convenient to the train station. The hotel is easily within walking distance of the train and all that the downtown has to offer, and yet the room was quiet and comfortable.
