Anglia Indoor Kart Racing

Absolutely wonderful afternoon. I took my children here for a Saturday afternoon session (3x12 arrive and drive). From the outset it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the venue was clean and well laid out. They got kitted up (choice of colour of balaclava which delighted them both) and we watched the briefing. Out on the track marshalls were helpful with advice and endlessly patient when the children crashed into the wall and needed assistance time and again. Thoroughly recommended, we will be back.

Was quite a fun hour ish with my son. First set of 12 laps were great just me and him. The next 2 sets of laps not so great. Another father and son were allowed on at the same time even though we were told it would just be me and my son. I got rammed off the track where I sat for what felt like 5 mins stuck at the barrier while he continues to thrash around the track ignoring the Marshalls & flags for 17-18 laps in total which was supposed to be 12! The last set of laps he did it to my son as well! Same thing. Luckily he was only a small bloke as I wanted to punch him in the face. I know obviously there is contact etc but that was deffo deliberate and ruined mine and my sons lap times we were trying to do. Bit of a waste of money really. Very fun but for how long you are there it really is expensive.

We recently held our child’s birthday party here, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. The reception staff were standing around chatting, but nobody explained that forms needed to be completed. I entered my email address but never received any race results afterwards. The whole event felt very disorganised. No one helped the children choose correctly fitting helmets, and for a party of 10 children, only five could race at a time while the other five had to sit and watch. The groups then had to swap over twice, which meant a lot of waiting and really took away from the excitement. One member of staff repeatedly spoke loudly and rudely at both the children and parents and gave the impression that he didn’t want to be there, which made everyone feel uncomfortable. The party room was extremely hot, and there were no staff available to help. The food was simply put on the table with no assistance, and we had to go downstairs twice just to ask for squash refills. Overall, the atmosphere felt awkward, unfriendly and far from welcoming. We were expecting a fun, well-organised children’s party, but sadly the customer service let the whole experience down.

Loved it... 1st time my 13yr old son and I have been to this venue (but we've karted many times before in Essex). Staff were great, friendly, accommodating and professional. Course was good, the lower level had the right difficulty level for us and we both enjoyed the tight corners, but also the full speed sweeping bend. Will definitely return :- )
