Families with young children will find Kingfisher well suited to their needs. This single yurt accommodates up to five guests in one bedroom with a double bed, bunk beds and a pull-out single, all on ground level with three steps to the entrance. The open-plan interior combines living and dining areas around a wood-burning stove, a kitchenette for preparing meals, and a shower room, making it genuinely self-contained without the usual camping roughing-it.
The yurt sits on farmland where wildlife is part of the setting—pheasants, squirrels and bats are regular visitors, and owls call in the evening. You have your own enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue, plus a children's play area on the property. A car park on site takes one vehicle. Bed linen and electricity are included; heating keeps the space warm year-round. No smoking is permitted.
The Isle of Wight's beaches and coastal paths are accessible from here, with Newport's shops and facilities five minutes away by car. The setting is intentionally quiet and family-focused rather than suited to larger adult groups. If you need more space, Kingfisher can be booked alongside two neighbouring yurts to sleep fifteen people altogether.
