Fair Isle Holiday Cottages - Hill Top Barn
Isle of Wight
View on Google MapsNewport, the Isle of Wight's capital, sits inland among rolling countryside, and Hill Top Barn occupies that quieter, elevated terrain with views stretching across the downs toward the town itself. The converted barn is set up as a complete, self-contained property sleeping four: two bedrooms (one double, one with twin singles), a bathroom with bath and shower, and a living space with kitchen and dining area. Everything is on the ground floor. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all provided; the kitchen is equipped for cooking and has a dishwasher and washing machine.
The garden is enclosed, comes with furniture and a barbecue, and there is parking for two cars on site. One well-behaved dog stays free. Buses to Newport and Ryde, the island's two main stations, are about five minutes' walk away. The beach is seven miles off; a pub and shop are within a mile. Bridle paths connect the barn to Arreton and Newport itself, useful for walkers. The Isle of Wight's well-known attractions—the Needles, Alum Bay, Robin Hill, Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle—are all within short driving or bussing distance. Smoking is not permitted.
