Springwood Holiday Park

Riverside holiday park within walking distance of Kelso town centre
About Springwood Holiday Park
Springwood Holiday Park occupies a handsome stretch of mature parkland on the River Teviot, close enough to Kelso that you can stroll into town for dinner yet feel genuinely rural once back among the riverside pitches. The setting wins consistent praise—guests mention heron sightings from their lodges, level dog-walking routes along the Teviot, and a surprising sense of seclusion given the short distance from the town centre. Accommodation spans static caravans and lodges, some fitted with private hot tubs, and the park's position makes it a practical base for Floors Castle, Kelso Abbey and the wider Border abbeys circuit.
Facilities include a children's play area, kids' pool room, fire pits and a lounge bar that hosts weekend entertainment through the main season, giving the place a sociable edge without overwhelming quieter corners. A few reviews note that some areas of the park can feel a little tired in places, though most agree the riverside location and easy access to both town and countryside more than compensate. Anglers appreciate the fishing access, and dogs are welcome throughout.

What visitors say
Nice and relaxing. Kelso is nice with nice cafes, pubs and good variety. Just what we needed. The park is very well kept and everyone was so friendly.

Caravan park on the edge of Kelso town. It's a delightful place, relaxing and well maintained. I'd love to be able to buy my own static Caravan here as I love Kelso.

The caravan we booked was slightly on the small side for the 3 adults and 2 kids, not there fault but I'd have liked bigger beds/bedrooms, the site is immaculate, very quiet, the grand kids loved the play park, we couldn't get them in on an evening ! So the gas fire pit was appreciated. Although fairly large the site certainly doesn't feel it and we felt very safe. The bar area is welcoming and clean a bit pricey. You get a nice little welcome pack which is a nice touch, the only negative was considering it was 6 birth you only get 4 bowls, 4 cutlery etc. So somone had to wait to eat ! Overal a great place to stay

We booked for 4 nights and left after 2. The site itself is lovely and quiet. The caravan we stayed in was also nice BUT the spiders were ridiculously bad. We must have had 100 plus no over exaggeration. We cleaned the webs and spiders away when we arrived outside. Killed at least 12 when inside. Got a spider repellent from reception that worked for 5mins. The weather was lovely but we couldn't sit out on the decking it was that bad and had to keep the doors shut at night. The staff and people on site could not have been nicer its just a shame about the beasties.
