Hideaway is a Victorian end-terrace cottage on a quiet street in Kelso, facing the old parish church. It's a compact space for two, with a ground-floor living and dining room that connects to a recently renovated kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and washing machine all there. Upstairs is a bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite that has both a roll-top bath and a separate shower. A second toilet is separate from the bathroom.
The cottage comes with the essentials: electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all provided. Outside is an enclosed garden with furniture, plus a bike and equipment store. Free parking is a five-minute walk away at The Knowes Car Park. A pub sits within a mile, and restaurants are even closer. No smoking inside.
Kelso sits at the junction of two rivers in the Scottish Borders, making it a base for exploring castles, gardens, fishing spots and coastal towns. The town itself has independent shops, regular events at the showground, and the racecourse just nearby.
