We stayed the night of 18th June. The receptionist was so welcoming, helpful and efficient. Told us about free parking, showed us how to work the lift and opened our bedroom window. Our room had everything we needed. Had gluten free fish and chips. Never tasted such delicious batter. Sadly we were too full for dessert! Great selection of items for breakfast. Would definitely return.

Been a few times for dinner and cant fault it. Haggis bonbon starter, soup, Fish and chips, steak pie, pork chops....all cooked well and in good time. Staff friendly and not overly chatty, just really nice.

I was hiking the Borders Abbeys way and needed somewhere well located to get to starting points along the route via bus. This place was ideal. The room walls are a bit thin and the extractor fan in the room next to me barely stopped. It didn't affect my sleep but the constant noise got a bit annoying while the guests next door were in their room. Rooms were slightly dated but very clean and great value. The staff are attentive and so helpful with recommendations, local information and general chat. They're what makes this place so great in my opinion. Checking out felt like I was leaving friends behind! I would 100% stay here again.

What a beautiful , relaxing hotel run by gracious, caring staff. The food has no comparison to its quality. The restaurant staff are superb. I have visited for years and it keeps getting better and better. With staff like Naomi and those around her, a guest is treated better than more expensive hotels. A little gem in the heart of historic Kelso ! For holiday breaks or meals , this is tre place to visit.
