The Bothy

The Bothy is a single-storey stone cottage built to capture the essence of a traditional bothy—a simple, characterful shelter—though with considerably more comfort. Set on a working farm in the Scottish Borders, it offers complete privacy for two people, with an enclosed garden and private hot tub where you can watch the stars without light pollution overhead.

Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with woodburner and Smart TV, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with electric oven and hob, a bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a shower room with heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with fuel for the woodburner. The kitchen has a washing machine if you need it. There is parking for two cars and a sitting-out area with a terrace overlooking the garden.

Kelso is a five-minute drive away, offering restaurants, cafés and shops. The River Tweed is within walking distance. Golfers will find Schloss Roxburghe championship course about ten minutes' drive off. The property does not permit smoking. This is a cottage built for two, in a quiet countryside setting with genuine dark skies.
