About Croft Foot Farm
How's about more than a touch of luxury in nattily kitted out Cumbria glamping pods? It's time to pack your bags and head for Croft Foot Farm near buzzing Kendal, where you'll be met by far-reaching Lake District fell views from wooden pods with underfloor heating to keep you toasty warm in these northern climes.
Laid out with lovely touches including stylish bedding, towels and complimentary toiletries, each pod has a distinctive design featuring local furnishings like Herdwick tweed cushions. There's plenty of room for a double and a sofa bed (best suited to kids), and the owners can provide travel cots and high chairs too. Other welcome additions include ensuite bathrooms with hot showers, and starter packs in the compact kitchens, which also offer fridges, microwaves, hobs and Nespresso coffee machines for that caffeine kickstart to your day.
Outside there's a private enclosed decking area with a picnic table and barbecue – buy steaks, burgers and sausages straight from the farm. For a luxurious cherry on top, there's a communal hot tub that can be booked on site. If the weather is clear, very little beats sitting in the bubbles and watching stars glittering above in the night sky.

Absolutely loved our stay at the lodge Perfect space for 2 of us to chill and relax. The pods did share a space, but you couldn’t hear noise from other guests. The hot tub is shared between pods and is very well maintained and clean… recommend bringing a robe/oodie as there’s a small dash back from the hot tub to the lodge. Hosts are very friendly and fast to respond to any messages. Location was easy to find and lots locally to do and see! We would love to return in the summer to fully enjoy the pod in all its glory! Perfect for families/couples too as you are so close to the other pod - so could holiday together with other guests Loved the welcome basket too Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the cabin 10/10

We loved our stay, very clean & comfortable! When we arrived it took a little while for the pod to get warm (we arrived in stormy wet & windy weather) but when it did, it was so cosy and stayed warm. We used the hot tub after our walk & loved it. It’s a great location, so easy to drive into Kendal or major road links. Also not far from the Yorkshire dales. Best if both! We would stay here again and already recommended it to friends & colleagues.

This is how glamping should be. The self-contained pod was immaculate and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Most importantly the double-glazing and underfloor heating meant we didn't freeze overnight, which we have done before on so called 'glamping' trips. The outdoor hot-tub was also superb to relax in after a 4 hour drive. The induction hob and frying pan, complemented by fresh eggs from the local farm was just enough for our breakfast fry-up before we tackled the day. We met Amy whilst we were there and she gave us a great idea of a day bus ticket to see the most of the Lakes on a rainy day. Taxi to and from Kendal was around £15 each way and then £12 day-ticket for the bus meant we got all the way up to Keswick and then worked our way back stopping off at Grasmere, Rydal, Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness. Great stay, great accommodation and great host!

Stayed for 4 nights here with my boyfriend. What a beautiful location, out of the way of the busy town, no traffic apart from the odd tractor passing but nothing disturbed us. It was a lovely and peaceful stay. We loved watching the local sheep, they’re just a joy to watch and right little characters! We were fortunate to have the hot tub to ourselves during the full stay which was lovely to just hop into straight away on the evenings, didn’t need to wait for it to heat up or heat it ourselves which we’ve been to places in the past where you have a wood burning one, they’re a nightmare 🤦🏼♀️ it was sheer bliss l after a long day of walking to sit back and watch the world go by. The pod itself was ideal, plenty of room for us, bed was comfy, couldn’t hear any noise in the evenings (and I’m a light sleeper). I also loved the locally made soaps and the fact there’s local eggs to buy just round the corner from the farm. Also the views on an evening when the sun sets were beautiful!
