Fantastic afternoon at Rookery Woods on the bank holiday weekend! Amazing value £6 per child with no surcharge for adults. Our 3 year old grandson loved it as did his parents, grandparents and uncle. Given a high Viz vest to wear to show payment and he was off! So much to do, we spent 2 hours there having absolute outdoor back to nature fun! Highly recommend it for children up to 8 years but all us adults also enjoyed helping our little one.

I visited Rookery Woods with my 7 year old as a bit of a stop off en route to the South Lakes after spotting it when I was at Castlerigg Stone Circle a few weeks prior and what a great find it is! There is so much variety of equipment and games plus spaces for free play as well as the sheep trail and orienteering! Everything is brilliantly maintained and the staff were fab plus a lovely little cafe which is very reasonable. We easily spent over 3 hours here including a little stop to eat our packed lunch and I think my son would have happily stayed longer (in fact he asked if we could go back on the way home!) I would not hesitate to recommend Rookery Woods to anyone!

Great for kids wanting a Go Ape experience but too small. Great cafe with good variety of food and drink choices and reasonably priced. Picnic tables available and public free to bring own food

Fantastic place for kids to do plenty of things. It is situated in most iconic and scenic spot of the Lake District National Park. Plenty of car parking spaces available outside. The climbing Wall offers something for everyone. Outside play area include Zip Wire, Multi Story Castle, Hidden Dens, Maze, Soft Archery, sheep hunt etc. They charge £5 per child for a day. I also recommend this place.
