About Low Briery Holiday Village

Low Briery Holiday Village sits on the River Greta on the edge of Keswick, with direct access to the Lake District landscape. The site offers a mix of pods and cottages, many with river views, alongside pitches for caravans and tents. Facilities include showers, a sauna and plunge pool, with BBQs and picnic areas scattered across the grounds.

The location is its real draw. A flat, disused railway path runs from the site into Keswick itself, making it ideal for walking or cycling without the usual fell terrain. The river setting means you wake to water and trees rather than car parks. Accommodation is clean and well-maintained, staff are helpful, and prices are reasonable for the area—useful if you're planning to spend time exploring the central lakes and fells without breaking budget on somewhere to sleep.

Visitors say this holiday village offers a range of clean, well-kept accommodation options, including pods and cottages, with many overlooking the river. They also highlight the fantastic location, providing easy access to Keswick via a flat, disused railway path suitable for walking or cycling. Guests mention the friendly and helpful staff, along with reasonable prices.

We stayed at Low Briery Holiday Village for a week. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lodge was clean and tidy and parking outside the lodge. Cafe onsite. The location is excellent right by the path that goes into Keswick or walk the other direction into Threlkeld. I would happily stay here again and recommend to others.

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights Easter 2026 and we had a wonderful time. There is no shortage of things to do in the Lake District whatever the weather. The holiday village is located outside of Keswick and is easy to access from the main road. We stayed in the sail luxury family pod and were very happy with the accommodation. Our kids are 11 and 14 and they loved the low headroom twin bed area. My wife and I were happy in the double bed. I’m 6’ tall and there is a wall both ends of the bed, which I was able to touch at the same time- I was comfortable but it would be restrictive for taller guests. The kitchen is basic and there are no washing or drying facilities - hob, microwave and dishwasher only. The view of the river and valley is lovely but there is no access to the water. We brought our bikes and kept them in the patio area and felt safe leaving them - we visited Whinlatter trail centre which is just 5 mins away in the car. There is a converted railway line leading into town so you can walk or ride in traffic free. There is also a small play area on site for younger kids. When we stayed, the cafe wasn’t open and there was no shop. I’d happily stay here again.

Myself and husband stayed for 2 nights last week in a glamping pod. Had everything we needed. Small and cosy and plenty of room under the bed for our stuff. Loved the sound of the river right next to us and lovely walk right next to us. Great location.

Our 1st time to Keswick in Feb HT. We loved Cottage 3, cosy, clean and refurbished with everything we needed as a family of 4 and our dog. Location was perfect for us 5 mins by car to the town for shops, pubs, etc. The reception staff were helpful, welcoming and easy to contact if needed. Many beautiful walks in this area, highly recommend to stay here for the quieter life out of town. Thankyou!
