Gamekeeper’s Cottage
King's Lynn and West Norfolk
View on Google MapsGamekeeper's Cottage works well for families wanting space to spread out, or couples after a quiet rural base. The 1820s gatehouse sits in a Norfolk village off the Kings Lynn to Norwich road, a short drive from the coast, Thetford Forest and the RSPB Nature Reserve. Three bedrooms sleep up to six: a kingsize with ensuite shower, a zip-and-link room that converts between one double and two singles, and a further twin. The main bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger children.
Ground-floor living means minimal stairs. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can cook proper meals or do laundry without fuss. The living room has a TV and DVD player; the conservatory opens onto the enclosed garden, which has furniture and a barbecue. Wifi, electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included. There is parking for two cars on site, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
Kings Lynn itself is an old port town with shops, restaurants and museums within a mile. The village has a seasonal shop and pub nearby. From here you can reach sandy beaches, Sandringham Estate, and a good stretch of Norfolk countryside for walking or cycling. The property is no-smoking throughout.
