What visitors say
Amazing place to visit. Nice walks. Lots of history very well explained by a guide. And getting to see the mill making flour was incredible. A highly recommended visit - especially if you're a NTS member. They do kids activities on the weekends too.

Amazing little find. The tour was very good and informative. Even showed us it all working and explaining all the various pieces of equipment and what it would have been like all those years ago. The Mill itself is set within lovely grounds that you can walk around. Also coffee and juice, with some snacks available.

We came to Scotland from Cheshire to stay with friends and decided to visit the Mill on either the 23rd/24th March. What a wonderful experience meeting and talking to the volunteers. We had a drink first, walked round the area chatting with 2 lovely volunteers who spent a lot of time and answering any questions about the plants and trees. We then did the tour in the Mill and, once again, had a great experience with another gentleman who was very interesting. I'd definitely recommend a visit

Barry mill is one of the last remaining water-powered mills in Scotland. The guided tour was very informative. Thanks to the NTS and its staff, it’s amazing to see how this ancient mill is functioning even today! Enjoyed the nice little walk by the burn. Definitely worth a visit. 👍
