Great location near Leeds Bradford Airport. Slightly outdated accommodation but had everything we needed e.g iron, hairdryer etc. Beds were comfortable and clean. Receptionist was lovely and welcoming when checking in. Very limited meals on offer for dinner. We ended up having pizza delivered. Very noisy guests going to rooms waking us up when we needed to get to sleep for 2.30am departure to airport. We were on 4th floor and needed the lift to take our bags downstairs only to find both lifts not working!!! After struggling downstairs with the baggage the night receptionist was absolutely fast asleep with his head down on the desk. It took loud noises to finally wake him. When asked why lifts weren’t working he shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea. Obviously he didn’t know or care. Just a point of information: as we booked via Booking.com we kept getting emails to check-in online prior to arriving. The emails had no link whatsoever to do this and when the hotel was contacted about this we were told the emails were irrelevant as we were expected to check-in when we arrived. .

Excellent service throughout. Rooms were clean, food good and the seating area outside was most welcome during the hot weather. Sitting out in the evening with drinks was very pleasant. It was a pleasure to stay there. We witnessed a lady falling. The staff were there in seconds applying first aid, they knew exactly what they were doing and showed great concern for the lady. Excellent service.

So, this was the hotel we stayed at when we toured around Yorkshire on a coach tour. Rooms were clean and spacious. The food fabulous. The staff couldnt do enough for us. My friend was disabled. We were in an adapted room. The bathroom IS NOT a walk in shower room. But is suitable for Some disabilites. People would need to call before hand to find out if suitable. Also the lifts were okay for us, but unsure if big enough for some wheelchairs. There is a small indoor pool which had a small charge which was great, also a small gym.

Ths morning, whilst travelling to St James hospital in Leeds, I had the misfortune to have a flat tyre. I was very near this hotel and was able to pull into their car park. This was when I found out that my car is one of those which does not have a spare wheel. I spoke to a couple of members of staff for some advice where I could get a tyre in the vicinity and one of.them. Wade, the maintenance manager, offered his help on removing the affected wheel and drove me round the area to find a tyre. He then replaced the tyre for me. This gentleman is an absolute credit to himself and your hotel staff. I cannot praise him highly enough. It is rare to find someone who is prepared to put himself out for a complete stranger as he did. He even refused to accept any remuneration from me. A wonderful gentleman. I cannot give a review on the hotel itself, but feel that Wade deserves recognition. Stuart Procter Colne
