About Crowne Plaza Leeds
Leeds city centre is well served by business and leisure hotels, and Crowne Plaza Leeds sits among them on Wellington Street, offering 135 rooms across six floors within easy reach of the city's shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. It's a practical base for visitors wanting comfort without straying far from the action.
Rooms are generously sized with comfortable beds, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available alongside room service and drinks in room. Some guests have noted that upkeep in a few rooms could be better, so it's worth bearing in mind. Breakfast is well regarded, and there's a restaurant, bar and outdoor seating on site, with packed lunches and kids' meals also catered for.
The hotel's leisure facilities extend to an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room, useful for unwinding after a day of meetings or sightseeing. Business travellers are covered too, with meeting rooms and business services available. On-site parking is offered, though it comes at an extra charge, and staff are consistently described as friendly and professional. Golf courses, pubs and restaurants can all be found nearby.
What guests say
Nice clean hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Thats the good bits done. Room was basic. The bathroom needed some maintenance. Taps on the bath not attached to the bath properly. Water not very hot. Advertise room service from 12pm to 12am. Ordered food approximately 1045pm to be told chef had gone home so only pizzas available. Breakfast next morning was plentiful, however my wife had hair attached to the bacon. Staff were apologetic and i didn't want to make too much fuss. The bathroom on the first floor needs maintenance as the first cubicle door could not be locked.

Always a fantastic time at the Crown Plaza, especially the one in Leeds. This time, we had a surprise 3rd guest with us and when we discovered our room didn't have a sofa bed option, we were moved to a room with two large beds! Big thanks to Dony, who always works with a smile and a lot of friendliness. He was so helpful with our check-in and rooming situation, despite most of the rooms being booked out. We also really enjoyed the Spirit Health Club! My husband and I used the pool, sauna, and steam room in the last hour of it being open, and it was all very delightful. Not to mention, it was not crowded at all at that time! Finally, the club lounge and breakfast are always a mega hit. We were able to get drinks at the lounge well into the evening and by arriving early to breakfast, we were treated to extremely fresh offers on the buffet with pretty much no waits in the lines. As someone with a gluten allergy, I was also grateful to get gluten-free bread toasted in the back to enjoy with my English Breakfast. Finally, the location is great, just a short, 10-minute, straightaway walk from the train station. All-around fantastic stay as usual and will continue to stay here when visiting Leeds.

Comfortable large room with two double beds and everything we needed. Bathroom could have done with an update as the sink had a crack but it was all very clean and the young chap at reception was extremely helpful and very friendly and nice. Breakfast was good. Parking was plentiful and easy and location of the hotel was ideal for us…though may not have had the surrounding or beauty as others…but it is a city hotel and that did not matter for us.

Quietly located within walking distance of leeds train station this lovely hotel hit the spot! I was greeted by a friendly welcoming reception member who gladly signed me in and directed me to my room and other amenities. Upon arrival of my room it was very spacious, clean and quiet. Bathroom was ample in size too. I wandered down to the pool area. Yes, it's dated but it was clean and everything worked as it should. Staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet at night too. Downside... tv channels didn't work could only get radio channels. No shower gel in bathroom it had ran out. All-in all a lovely stay as my birthday treat.
