Rothley Court Hotel by Greene King Inns

We had a lovely meal, the atmosphere was very calm, and the food was very nice. However we felt as though the service we received wasn’t up to the usual standard as we did have to wait quite a long time every time we needed something (eg. a table, our table cleared, and the bill). Though we did really enjoy it despite this so we will definitely be returning, and I would recommend it!

A really mixed visit. A beautiful location with an amazing building, however, the room was tired, the bathroom seemed dirty (lots of black mold) and the hot water wasn't working. I have shared a few pictures including one of the bathroom door. If you stay you may want to take your own shampoo, conditioner and hand soap - they provide a cheap 'multi soap' in a plastic tube. The lighting was very dim and the wifi was so poor that it was unusable. They also use a wifi system that seems to harvest quite a lot of data from you in order to use it. We couldn't get a signal on either of our phones (02 and 3). Not a usable space if you are travelling for work (despite having a desk). The staff member on reception was not particularly welcoming (unsmiling and bored). The staff member on the bar was in contrast fantastic and the waitress during breakfast couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was generous and they have an excellent chef.

Booked afternoon tea. Thought it was terrible the only thing decent was cake and scone. Bread was not what is expected on afternoon tea. This was so dry. Crust inedible. Fillings somewhat to be desired. Had strips of streaky bacon with chicken in broich rolls. Bacon looked as though it was left over from breakfast. So basically like a pack up to take to work. I have read review from one of your customers and it’s exactly as this lady said. Things haven’t changed so you have taken nothing on board from her review. I have photos if you are interested. My friends certainly were. Get your act together. A very displeased customer. 😡😡😡

I had a wonderful experience at Rothley Court Hotel — everything from the beautiful surroundings to the comfortable rooms was exceptional. The hotel has a charming atmosphere, and the grounds are perfect for a relaxing getaway. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding service from the staff, especially Harry. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, was incredibly friendly, professional, and always happy to help. His attention to detail and warm attitude truly made our visit memorable. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, and the food was delicious. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and top-class service. Highly recommended — we will definitely be returning!
